At SBD we work closely with our business clients and focus on assisting them to grow the size of their business and its profitability.

Too often business owners lose sight of the fact that business is about profits. (It is not always about growth, but this factor is usually lurking in the background.)

Profitability is what drives our businesses. At a minimum, it should provide:
  • a reward to owners for their risk and entrepreneurial flair
  • a return to capital invested by the owners
  • capital for future investment and growth
  • fair rewards for your team
For most people, profit is critical to their business and personal success but many businesses that I come into contact with suffer from low profitability, poor cashflow and have "over-worked and under-paid" owners.

Well, it doesn't have to be like that!

We work with family business owners, helping them to focus develop clear strategies to improve profits and grow their businesses.

This usually involves addressing the following issues:

In my experience, most business simply fail to address the key issues of:
  • marketing - developing a product/service offering that clearly differentiates you from your competitors
  • productivity - making sure that it is possible to deliver your products and services at a reasonable profit
  • team - building a skilled, capable team to assist you in the delivery to your customers
